IFRS 9
The “IFRS 9” practical program is designed for financial professionals who want to deepen their knowledge of financial instrument accounting, credit risk assessment, and the application of IFRS 9. Throughout the course, participants will explore the principles of financial instrument classification, the Expected Credit Loss (ECL) model, methodologies for calculating Probability of Default (PD), Exposure at Default (EAD), and Loss Given Default (LGD), as well as the impact of forward-looking information. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical examples, calculations, and best practices applied in the market, with a particular focus on the specific characteristics of the Armenian market.
Senior and chief accountants, financial reporting and analysis specialists, and auditors with basic practical experience and/or knowledge in accounting and financial reporting.
The course is particularly relevant for professionals involved in financial instrument accounting, credit risk assessment, financial reporting, auditing, and IFRS implementation.
The course combines detailed topic presentations with continuous Q&A sessions and practical examples. Participants will work through real-world cases and calculations covering financial instrument classification, ECL assessment, portfolio segmentation, staging, and PD, EAD, and LGD calculations.
Practical exercises may be included throughout the course, and participants may therefore need access to a personal computer.
Marina Yengibaryan is a trainer at IAB Business International Academy. She has extensive experience working with Big Four audit firms, including Ernst & Young, Deloitte, and KPMG CJSC. She currently works as a Senior Audit Manager in Düsseldorf, Germany.
She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), has completed CFA Level I, and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Armenia. Marina is also a qualified auditor certified by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia.
